Questions about the earrings!

What is polymer clay?

Polymer clay is a synthetic type of clay that can be molded and cured in an oven to create a durable yet flexible product. Polymer clay is a very versatile medium that can create beautiful pieces of jewellery.

What’s the best way to take care of my jewellery?

Please avoid storing your polymer clay items in direct sunlight, avoid submerging the polymer clay jewellery in water and avoid direct contact with perfumes, body lotion, hair spray and other chemicals. To clean the jewellery use a soft cloth.

What metal do you use?

I use surgical steel for my earring posts and hooks. But should you wish to upgrade the earring hooks to sterling silver or gold plated, please add your chosen earrings to your basket first. Then, search 'hook change' in the search bar, select your perferred metal, and add that to your basket as well. Please note if you purchasing more than one pair of earrings and want them all changing onto different hooks please select the correct quanitiy on the 'hook change' page.

Please also note I can only change the metal on the larger earrings, not the studs.

Questions about the clothing!

What is needle felting?
Needle felting is an art form that involves pushing wool fibres together with a barbed needle, locking them in place. The repeative stabbing movement, entangles and condenses the wool to create 2D designs or 3D figures. When the wool is wet felted, a techinque involving adding hot water to the wool and agitating the fibres, the wool fibres shrink, locking together permanently.

How do you wash needle felting garments?

If your item needs refreshing between wears, air the item rather than a full wash. Wool is considered naturally antimicrobial and odor-resistant

To care for this piece you will need to:

* Hand wash only in cold water with wool soap.

* Try not to twist/ring water out of the garment but squeeze gently to avoid stretching the garment.

* Do not tumble dry or dry on the radiator as it can cause the wool to shrink.

* Try to dry as flat as possible, I like to lay my wool pieces on top of a clothes horse.

* Do not store on a hanger as this can stretch the garment. I keep my pieces folded in a cupboard.

I can't find my size?
I am working on expanding the size range of my needle felting products. All the pieces I work with have been preloved and some do have the original sizing labels, others are hand knitted so I have added measurements to the listings and a size reference picture. As the clothing element of my little business is fairly new, I do only have limited sizes whilst I source a bigger range, but, should you require a specific size please feel free to contact me either on here or via my Instagram @wildthingartandcraft and I will see how I can help.
